2020 is looking to be another fantastic year for paddle boards. With every premium sup brand ever searching for ways to improve their fleet of boards, JP Australia have pushed the boundaries again.

Welcome the arrival of the Innegra Parabolic Rail.

Innegra, is a new fiber on the market not yet well known among buyers and manufacturers of fiber products. But it has a wide variety of uses, from innovative aerospace materials to extreme sports equipment.

When Innegra™ was developed in 2008 it was designed to be the lightest commercial fiber available. It’s an olefin fiber, which means it’s a synthetic fiber made from polyolefin polypropylene.

Being extremely light weight, 0.84g/cc, the use of Innegra can noticably reduce the overall weight of large items – such as a Paddle Board.

This fiber is can also provide incredible damage and impact resistance. Innegra™ can tolerate a large amount of rubbing, pulling, twisting, and stress without warping or breaking.

When we come to SUP, The Innegra Parabolic Rail works as a stringer around the whole shape, adding extra stiffness to the board. To ensure the best stiffness ratio, the rail is fully covered with Innegra, a high modulus polypropylene fiber that has excellent impact resistance. The parabolic form of the rail combined with the molded fibre creates a strong and solid U-beam structure that connects the deck, rail and bottom. Innegra is pigmented instead of fully painted to save weight and avoid paint chipping.
